A little bit about me ......
My Story
Hello, I’m Sarah Sinclair, founder and CEO of Luma Leaf Herbal Teas, and this is my story.
My journey into the world of herbal wellness began quite unexpectedly. I first discovered the power of herbs when I enrolled in an online course in herbal medicine, initially out of pure curiosity. I have always been fascinated by nature and the natural world. In fact, shortly before the Covid pandemic, I trained as a Forest School Teacher, which deepened my appreciation for the connection between people and nature.
From there, my fascination with herbs continued to grow.
My first area of herbal research was closely linked to my profession. As a school teacher, I was meeting more and more children who seemed anxious, overwhelmed, and struggling with the pressures of modern life. I found myself wondering how I could better support them. It never felt right to me that so many young people were suffering while I lacked the tools to help them effectively. This curiosity led me to explore how herbs had traditionally been used to support emotional wellbeing and resilience.
As my knowledge grew, I began looking at how herbs could support women like me. I quickly realised that when carefully selected and blended by someone with the right knowledge and experience, herbs can be remarkably powerful. I became particularly interested in how they could support women through the challenges of perimenopause and menopause, helping to nurture wellbeing in a gentle, natural way.
The more I researched, the more I recognised a gap in the market. Many products aimed at women felt overly clinical or medicinal. I wanted something different. I wanted to create products that were effective yet gentle, grounded in traditional herbal wisdom yet suited to modern life. Products that could easily fit into a busy daily routine while offering genuine support and a moment of self-care.
